San Diego Incubator for Innovation Public Events

Designed to create flows of inspiration and ideas between the incubator and the larger community, our public events integrate with our innovation process. IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES FOR WATER INNOVATIONS Explore Pueblo Watershed December 14, Saturday, 8:30 am – 2 pm Through direct observation and various sensing technologies, teams will explore a watershed to address the question: How does this urban watershed contribute to the well-being of its residents? Data collection and visualization will help us see patterns, relationships, and opportunities for innovation. Incubator Workshops: Innovation Training for 100 Fellows From October 2013 through October 2014, 100 community members—scientists, engineers, artists, entrepreneurs, educators, students, public servants, and more—will learn and practice processes and skills of innovation: Opportunity Identification & Analysis Idea Generation, Enrichment & Selection New Product Development, Prototyping & Testing Market & Business Planning Creativity, Communication & Collaboration New Product Launch Within a series of workshops, our incubator community will explore opportunities for innovation related to regional water supply and demand. We will generate numerous project ideas. Innovation Fellows will vote for their preferred projects, a process that will determine the composition of teams and which projects advance to development.
